Learning Objectives

This AR simulator is a perfect digital twin of a physical patient monitor. It reacts to hundreds of physiological variables, exactly like a real one. It helps students understand how to interpret the data by exposing them to countless situations that may take years to encounter in real life.

Audience

This monitoring simulator can be used remotely or as an in-person hands-on training tool for healthcare providers and students.

Training Scenarios

This simulator will be available in the 1st quarter of 2023.

The monitor is part of an Augmented Reality scene representing a photorealistic 3D hospital room with a patient lying on their bed. Using the camera on their phone, trainees can move freely around the life-size equipment and practice in this safe and immersive environment. The rendering is extremely realistic; the patient monitor looks, sounds and functions like a real one.

Students are confronted with scenarios set up by their instructor. They must provide their analysis of the situation and share their hypotheses either by writing them down within the simulator or through verbal exchanges with their instructor.
